Melina received her B.Sc. in Psychology from the University of Birmingham (UK) in 1999 and remained there to complete her Ph.D., with Glyn Humphreys, in 2002. From there she had a years post-doctoral position at the University of Wales, Bangor with Kim Shapiro before joining the Wolfelab in November 2003. Her research interests include contextual cueing, visual marking, the attentional blink, the role of attention on affective response, and the discovery of new features to guide attention.
