| October 9: Today we went to Mary Kay and John's wedding, which was Maya's first. Maya loved the wedding ceremony, and repeatedly waved at the bride during it. Then, at the reception, Maya danced late into the night with her little friend. |

| October 10: The next morning, we went to John and Mary Kay's post-wedding picnic, where Maya played and socialized and ate some more cake. |

| October 10: After the picnic, we met Sebastian and Isabel (and their parents) for the first time in a year (we all left Ann Arbor around the same time). Isabel happily played with Maya whenever she wasn't busy wandering off wherever she wanted to go. |

| October 10: Sebastian, on the other hand, was a little hesitant about meeting his old friend. By the time we had to leave, Maya and Sebby were playing together and sharing their snacks, just like old times. |
